Boats with COWES stamped on the back

I have noticed that about every fifteenth boat has Cowes on the back no matter where you are in the U.K.

Have any of them ever been there ?

Was there a giant auction down there at one time ?

If they all went there one weekend would they all fit in ?

Can I, and should I have it on the back of mine ? If I do what benefits are likely to be forthcoming ?

Cant think of any benifits in having a cow on the arse end.
Then again, I was thinking of putting Accrington on the back of mine. Before thinking better of it.
Maybe its so all the boat owners that they have carved up.
Are all looking round Cowes for them.
Whilst there sculking away, in Fleetwood!

I should put it on Vic. It might give you less of an inferiority complex.

Of course, you can register in any british port, and not go there ever. I would say that having "cowes" on the back is a lot better than having "Hull" stamped on the back, which always makes me snigger.

Clearly you lot have no pride in your local ports, and that includes those who put Cowes on the back whilst having no attachment to that once delightful port.
