So I took the boat up on the dry stuff this morning .... for a clean and antifouling scheduled this week-end... (after three years in the water)...

Could this be the cause for not reaching the same speed as before and not managing my full 2300 RPM ?? :D :D :D :D

Last couple of years I have been diving and just scraping the stuff off ... she was clean when we went on vacation last year... this is one autumn, winter and til today ... basically it should teach me to apply antifouling more reguar than once every three years... :)

David Attenborough was informed about us being lifted out and he was very interested in the fauna on our hull...:D

One more week and it would have been !!!!!!

Strimmer used followed by industrial powerwasher (3 phase thingie @ 150 bar I think as I had to lean forwards to counter balance)....

Raw water intake strainers removed and 2 1/2" valves serviced.

One coat of antifouling applied and body aches in places I did not know I had....

Re-assembly of valves tomorrow, followed by second coat of aitifouling at exposed areas and zinks. Aim is to hit the wet stuff again on Monday first thing..

Callum .... I 've started worrying about you !!! :D ... not sure if I dare wearing the Cap you gave me any more.... :)

Hey Alf.....can't you tell, things must be getting quiet over here :)

If anyone asks about the cap, you can say it is Launceston in Cornwall ;-)

What plans do you have for the coming season?

Cornwall .... that is in Englandshire somewhere... isn't it..?? .... not good to use up here in Scotchland (hic.....) ...

Not sure yet... but may be short & sweet... wanted to go to Norway, but only have two split weeks available (daughter at university..)..... Orkneys perhaps??

Yes Alf, apparently there is a bit of a town, way down south that must have copied the name of ours ;)
I've even heard they may also do a bit of boating as well in that part of the country.....:)

I'll look forward to the pics and post of the upcoming voyage then...:)

I'm amazed no one has commented on Alfs genuis here.

Surely its just a new way of giving a softer ride. Rather than crashing off the waves this additional hull coating would have provided a softer, cushioned landing and may even reduce roll as the strands hanging off will sway and provide resistance. Natural eco stabilisers.

Stunning idea.

It will put Stab makers out of business....surely:)

And now you've blasted all off. Very poor show!!:(
