I've got a folder in a locker on the boat - and I usually ride my main bike when I head down to the boat.
Always struck me as pretty socially responsible; quietly passing through people's streets en route and not expecting the boatyard to lay out a rectangle of tarmac at the water's edge that you always need when you take a motor car.
It's nicer way to travel as well; cf sailing boats and motor boats.
Don't do the lycra thing, though - it's an affront to the eyes. Even on people with a better physique than mine.
