Well, thats it, I'm a landlubber. Sold my boat today. Geezer saw it on boatsandoutboards.co.uk came along and bought it... gave me a hefty cash deposit and wants to complete next week.
Anyone got a bill of sale and etc. etc. they can let me have?
I ain't gotta clue how to do all this and nor has he. I've always bought and sold through a broker before. He though he just gave me his dosh and walked away with the boat, bit like a used car.

That was quick Byron! Feeling sad or relieved? Still can't work out where the boatsandoutboard peeps get their money. What's in it for them?

Can't help with the bill of sale but don't the RYA do one.

Not quite Haydn, not quite. My boat is Part 1 registered in Jersey with French TVA taxes paid so I must do things correctly. We ain't talking about a 1973 14' Fletcher here or a 1990 Ford Escort.

I have come to know the owner of the site quite well, they are a real success story. Their income is from the trade, the fact that the likes of us are always in and out steps up their hits, hits mean money from advertisers. Bit like here, the more times dudes see the banners the more YBW get.

Well mate....you finally been and gone and done it!
If the boat is part! registered then I think if memory serves me correctly you will need a Transfer Document/Bill of Sale.......64/64 shares and all that. Guess that will need to come from the Registrar of Shipping? Also you will need your certificate of Registration and ownership etc etc.
Give em a ring........they'll tell you wot they need.

Much more important.....wot u going to do/buy next?

I understand you are looking for a smaller boat, I know where you could find a nice small fully loaded Glastron GS209 /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Easy for one person to handle and easy to park /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

<font color=blue> Ooops! I forgot about that, OK belay my last. I retract what I suggested 'cos there's no way the launch will be sold.
As a matter of interest I see her twin is for sale at Val Wyatts, her twin being the ex-thames valley police boat. They are asking £24,950 for her.
I suppose I cannot call myself Boatless Byron because there's also a 1950s speedboat in my barn too and Eileen is making noises about buying a Slipper.

Eileen's far too young and elegant for slippers.

Unless it's a glass one, of course. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
