Anyone had dealings with a company called Boatique? I ordered (and paid for) some canvas fittings from them at the beginning of Jan and apart from receiving an email saying that they were dispatching the following day, I've not heard a dickie since - despite sending emails and making (unanswered) telephone calls to them. The spondoolicks I paid aren't life threatening but I would like to know if I'll ever see either my dosh or the goods this side of the third millenium.
 
I search on line for most of my Yacht bits and then phone to see if they are still there .. If you get an answer and they bother to phone you back with info then i will place an order .. If i have trouble contacting them then i just move on .. Its not worth dealing with some of these companies .. The more online chandlers there are the less there is to go around so it pays to do your homework first .. You can even get a discount off the online prices if you can give a comparison site so i saved about £50 .. They phoned me back .. They ordered what i wanted .. They took a small deposit ( By Phone ) and rang to say it was all ready for collection .. What more could you ask ..
 
I might be able to help, give me a day or two and i'll see if I can get in touch - did you order off the internet? and what was the URL?

I believe there is ore than one Boatique on the net and I may only know one of them /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

No guarantee it;s the same company though
 
Have had very good relations with Boatique in the past , bought an excellent tote bag and a few other items and never had any problems so here's one happy customer anyway
 
Thanks Chris. The URL is boatique.co.uk. I sent another email yesterday (there's no answer to the name and number given - Craig Akerman), but still no response.
 
Chris tells me that he has been unable to contact Craig so can you tell me which site you used to make the purchase and I'll see if there's anything I can do to help
 
Hi Dave - I ordered the stuff on Boatique.co.uk (at least that where the confirmation from Craig came from). What I don't understand is that he doesn't reply to my emails nor answer tel calls.
 
Dave/Chris - Don't know what you did/said but a bag of canvas accessories arrived yesterday - no indication as to who from but presume it was boatique. Many many thanks for your help!!
