The accident apparently occurred during the night, impressive that the Bayliner didn't sink during the following hours, given it's newly acquired appendage starboard side.

Hull and deck are strongly bonded with industrial strength chewing gum to form a rigid, homogenous, structure.

Hope nobody was a sleep on the Bayliner at the time.

Not sleeping, but they were on board... "Every member of the Romeo family riding in a 29-foot Bayliner Boat was injured in some way. Parents Robert and Patricia were boating with 17-year-old Sierra and 21-year old Robert. Injuries included cuts, bruises, and a broken leg. The second boat was a 24-foot Ebb Tide"

That Ebbtide has a very pointy bow. No wonder it sliced the Bayliner open.

Theres a sea ray in the yard where my boat currently is that has crashed nose first into a yacht , the front 2 feet or so of the sea ray is completely mangled, virtually missing, just a big hole into the cabin. I guess it can be repaired, but looks expensive.

Havent seen the yacht , but I bet it also has a fair sized hole in it.
