Boating this weekend

Good it means I can safely remove the tarps this weekend without flying up in the air like mary poppins. I may even get as far as putting the block and manifold bungs back in

No waves on the ard of course, just the prospect of banging my shin on a chock. Bet I still get an angry Seamaster owner waving his briar pipe at me in an agitated manner though.

Sat nice and snug in Cowes Yacht Haven, sunny, warm weather. Marina is very busy, three Naval training vessels moored to the outside pontoon giving us protection from the few ripples that dare to enter the Medina. Customs cutter moored to outer North Basin........lot's of men in uniforms meaning SWMBO is content!!!. Beerathon about to begin!!

It was hell out there - not a cloud in the sky today and hardly any boats. A total of 6 boats on Lymington Town Quay last night and I'm told Yarmouth wasn't much busier, where was everyone?

We went out this afternoon from Torquay Marina and had a great run over to Brixham via Elberry Cove. Only saw a couple of speedboats and raggies - where was everyone? sea conditions were great and the sun was out! Boat performing superbly..other than the VHF not powering up, next weekends job along with a spring clean.

Very quiet down in the Carrick Roads this morning, made for a very quiet, relaxing brunch....If this is the weather in early March roll on July!

Perhaps the tnread title should be changed to "why aeent you boating this weekend !"

I had a date in the bedroom..... with a paint brush and paint, but nipped over to Sheerness on way back from Homebase and saw 3 yachts, no mobos and the lifeboat ... looked like he was on a call..

hoping it holds til next weekend ....

Us girlies took a rib blast over to the Folly for a spot of lunch. Brilliant it was and to top it off...England won! Swing low... (Sorry David :D)
