So far these to me ring true.

As you get better at boating, the opps get less but more spectacular.


Any knot will do as long as you can undo it again. ( for fenders )

Mother nature rules, so work with her, not against her.( works with wind and tide )

Cool Dudes, do it slowly. Throttle jokes, crash and burn. (berthing)

The best remedy for seasickness is, to sit under an Oak tree.

If you don't have a boat, but want to experience what it's like,

stand naked under a cold shower while tearing £50 notes to shreds, and don't forget to smile while you're doing it.
