Thankyou Kim! I am a member of the Weybridge Mariners, and proud of it. I haven`t read the previous thread/s so I dont know what has been said.

What I do know about the Mariners is that we are a club that welcomes every body, warmly, so anyone wishing to visit us can be sure of a great welcome. Check out www.weybridgemariners.co.uk.

Your link doesn't work. Apparently I'm not authorised to look at the website!

worked for me but I left the site immediately as I never stay on sites that force sound on me. When will people making sites learn that too many bells and whistles turn visitors away?

Been past the river wey confluence so many times, but never ventured there. What are the limiting draughts and headroom for boats? I draw about 3 ft and air draught is about 12 ft. Would I be able to get anywhere worth visiting? Is there anywhere worth visiting?

Just a few cables from Boulters Lock

The River Wey and Godalming Navigations are delightful and meander down through Guildford to the head of Navigation at Godalming.
However, although the locks are wide, draught is 3' maximum down to Guildford and a little less on to Godalming. There are quite a few low bridges - your 12' air draught would not get past the first bridges at Weybridge(10' and 8'6")
It is really only suitable for narrow boats and small cruisers.
If you live locally there are some delightful towpath walks and well worth exploring......National Trust control the waterway and many sections are pretty much as they were over 100 years ago. Leaving the Thames at Weybridge and entering the Thames Lock pound is like stepping back a century and more!
