Well as some of you might remember I had been waiting for my new (to me) boat to arrive for a few months now due to unforseen delays, and she did yesterday. I am now the proud owner of a Karnic 2050 and looking forward to much boaty fun!

Thanks to those forumites who kindly offered advice. This whole thing being very alien to me I must say I have had a very enjoyable experience so far, from my training, through to looking for a boat, the broker and surveyor and various other people I have met in the build up to buying my first boat, now for the best part.

come on lets see the photos.....useless thread without piccies ;)

I was reluctant to post a pic as it is on a maintanance rack on the hard and has the cover on so doesnt really do it justice, but seeing as you asked, here you go!

Hello Matt,

Congrats, well worth the wait :). I've only just picked mine up after a long wait as well. Where did you decide to keep it in the end? That doesn't look like Hamble point where I am, Saxon Wharf perhaps?

Hi Merlyn, thanks. I had noticed on a previous post of yours that you were at Hamble. I am at Saxon Wharf, was down there today and they seem like a very helpful bunch.
