Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can recommend a boat Transport company based in East Anglia. I have a Jag 27 that I need moved from pin mill, sufolk to Brightlingsea.

I've received a quote from one company based in Maldon however I haven't been able to have any contact with them since then which is 3 weeks ago.

I am hoping someone knows someone.

Thanks

Chris @ Debbages used to move boats

The new owner of my previous boat, also a J27, used Debbages to move the boat from Felixstowe Ferry to Scotland about 14 yrs ago. It was the cheapest that he found at the time, from memory cost just under £1k.

I have a faint memory that Debbages packed up - but I could be wrong. I used Peter Downs, Langford, Maldon last month and have used him over 27 years. Excellent service but not great at communication and they were very busy - was that who had had a quote? Use their mobile: 07860 641174.

Can your Jag not be sailed down the coast?

Well yes in a navigational sense I admit :p, and in a railway sense I admit :p:p but it is down; after all Pin Mill is up there and 'Brittlesea' is down:rolleyes:. On a pedantic point could you spelt Brittlesea correctly please. It is either Bricklingsea or Bricklsey :encouragement::encouragement:.

I was using Suffolkian spelling :encouragement:

Brittlesea is often said but I have never seen it written. The two earlier were written in the 17th and 18th century.

Sailorman - Suffolk and Spelling - wow. That's impressive. Not many do that...…...

Used them to get my 24’ Crabber from Suffolk to Maldon. Very professional and reliable
