hi all

just viewed a sealine s37 and left a deposit on it on condition of the survey and getting the engines fully checked out, if all ok i will be the new owner of a sealine s37 :D

question is i need to get it from southend on sea to weymouth can anyone supply details of a decent company who can be trusted to do this for me via road

i have searched the net but i like to use people on recommendation from others who have used them and had good service from them

cheers shawn

Congrats on the purchase! I used Coast 2 Coast to move my similarly-sized Targa 40 from Southampton to the south coast of France, and they were excellent.

However, by the time you've paid the lift out, transport, and launch ... you might find it cheaper to hire a skipper and take it by sea, good opportunity to learn your new boat? Should be able to do in a long day with one stop, probably around Brighton I would have thought.

Cheers

Try These guys

They are used by most of the boat companies and brokers.

...yep, it looks like about 120nm from Southend to Brighton, stop for lunch/fuel, then about 100nm on to Weymouth. Unless there's a compelling reason not to, I'd do this by sea.

Cheers

Why not ask 'Solitaire' of this parish to help move the boat and get training and experience whilst doing so.

Another possibility is Mendez Marine.

what are the chances of getting a good enough weather window to do this, i am a complete novice and have only ever had an 18ft speedboat on the sea so too scary for me to do thats for sure

how much would it cost in fuel to do it by sea then can anyone work this out please

cheers

I agree with you Jimmy. When you factor in cost for lift either end and transport cost, the route via sea including delivery skipper (obviously may not be required) would probably work out cheaper or very near the same, without the hassle of prepping boat for road transport, and to boot o/p gets a good shakedown cruise under his belt.

Ask Solitaire!!!!!!!!

He won't approach you first as he doesn't use these forums to find work.

What engines does it have?

sorry I can't help on the transport... the interior of the boat looks great... presuming it's Allanya II you've put the deposit on... particularly like the re-upholstery job:cool:

Spottydog recently drove his bpat around from Norfolk so may be able to offer advice on the alternative to road transport
