If they are taking stuff off , and storing it , what if bits missing. Who are putting bits on when in Pfelly.. I was there when we bought and was glad as checking wiring etc.
 
Its a hard top, not flybrigde, the only things to come off are rear canopy and loose seating.

Sounds like the Haulier is using RHA conditions, in no way adequate for boat transport. We carry jet engines & nose radomes for the likes of Ryanair, Rha would just not cut it.
I would find a haulier with the appropriate insurance.

To keep a regular customer you are doing the right thing, but these boys don't have regular customers that will be back every week.
They are pretty much all the same,
i am using a very good one that carries alot better boats than i have.

No way. If there’s an argument that you’re personally negligent (easy to imagine a circumstance) you’ll be sued. Make no mistake. You need your own 3p insurance, or you can take the risk.

Which haulier do you use for your boat? I used Coast2Coast (who Fairline and lots of other manufacturers use) and their 3rd party liability was limited. From what I can recall, it wasn't a big deal as Y were happy to provide the additional cover (I'm not sure they even charged me).

Sorry but this is incorrect.

The driver is responsible for making the load is secure for safe transport....you are responsible for making sure what you are shipping is safe....OK that's simplified but generally speaking etc

i bought the vessel,
i have instructed coast to coast to move it,
i have bought extra transport insurance to cover short falls,
i am not loading it,
i am not securing it
and your saying i can end up in the dock. ?
now i am no barrister but to sue somone who was 200 miles away would be little extreme. :confused:
ps; this is my new to me boat people are surgesting bits are going to fall off, :ambivalence:
 
I bought my boat in similar circumstances from a broker own stock and between them and the haulier they sorted it all out. When I bought my old tub getting it fit for delivery was part of the contract albeit the haulier was of my own choosing which for convenience was whom they used.

If you've bought extra insurance, then assuming it's adequate, then you've nothing to worry about.
 
yes it's coming up by road on tuesday to deganwy marina.
we will be out of the water for a couple of weeks, she needs a clean, some uncle foul and a leg service,
