The fuel and insurance will cost quite a bit, plus any police charges for wide loads? If the boat is ever going to sail again, why not get her ready and sail her down? There are loads of places to stop....it isn't a big deal...I've done it non-stop in a Centaur, single-handed.

Without question I'd recommend you talk to Jim Brett at Queenborough, 01795 668263. One-man band, utterly reliable, reasonable price and a very nice bloke as well.

Hi Steve,

I'd transport the boat for you if you have a good trailer. I have a lot of experience in towing trailers, working with boats and I have a reliable double cab pickup to do the job with. I can tow up to 2.8 tons - boat and trailer combined.
I am fully insured for the truck and towing, but you will need to organise insurance for the boat yourself. You will also need to organise loading/unloading of the boat once we get there.
I live on the Lizard, so I can take the trailer up from Falmouth and deliver it back with the boat. Obviously you would be welcome to travel up with me to get the boat aswell.
I'll do you a very good deal, just give me a call and we'll discuss your exact requirments.

Cheers
