Boat survey

I am nearing compltion of a re-furb, insurance say I need a survey to validate, anyone know a reasonable surveyor ( the best but cheap if you know what I mean) in the Cardiff area.

I think all the surveyors charge by a formula of the boats dimensions plus a mileage charge.I have heard favourable comments about George Reohorn(possibly not spelt like that)I dont have his number but you could get it by ringing one of the cardiff boatyards or possibly the penarth marina.

An exceptionally good surveyor, but biased more towards wooden boats than GRP.

I did hear a rumour a couple of years ago that his daughter was trying to make him retire, so he may not be in business now.

Is Gus Gardner in Bristol still going? - in my opinion the absolute 'no 1' of surveyors.
