I've been doing some boat fixing recently on my own yacht. This has included repairs to a mounded in water tank that's been playing hard to get. However, final fill yesterday afternoon, totally water wedged, left overnight.
Back this morning. Result. Cured for now so quarter berth all put back together, saloon now looks like a saloon.
We also wanted to pick some kit up for an upcoming Saily trip. As we were finishing, our friend M, whose boat we are going on, sent text to announce he is aboard so we can drop it off. Happy with that. Also with him is N, who is going with us and manufactured some stuff for my tank. Double happy coz another friend, P, texted just before we left our boat to see if I knew anyone who could do a small manufacturing job for his boat. Yeah, N, who we are seeing in a minute.....triple happy.
I did a Canarian tour on P's boat a while back. So now this is who you know in action. Good one. Kit dropped off. P meets N. Who is on his way to fix another yacht. Yabba.
Text received from each of two marinas we requested berths with. Reserved and delighted we are visiting.
Update weather forecast, great reachy winds, slightly de tuned from brisk, so lookin good.
So what is gonna break, go wrong, alter plans or otherwise get a suspicious sailor thinking that Neptune has got one up his sleeve?.. ??
