Boat stranded on the bank

The following photo was posted on a Grafton Lock Twitter account, but with no story.
Does anyone know what happened? Is it as a result of the recent floods or has it been driven onto the bank side:

Judging by the state of the surrounding bank, I would say flooding.

Looks to me like the only thing that stopped it drifting further on was the tree.
