Boat show idea ,what about sticking a Topper taz on davits

Looked at this in 1991 for a friend with a moody 31. He tried it and the two hull forms separated. It was an original topper though! If you strap it up to Davits should be OK.

Cheers

surprised nobody has strapped a zapcat on as their tender. might not be the most comfortable tender, but it would certainly be the most fun

At the London Show Fountaine Pagot had one in the davits of their new Mahe cat - which is worth looking at, by the way, if you are thinking of buying an 'affordable' family cruising cat

Surely cats are right out of fashion nowadays? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The Topper Topaz Taz is a single moulding, rather that a hull and separate deck. So that shouldn't be a problem. IMHO the Laser Pico is a nicer boat to sail, and great for messing about in - http://www.lasersailing.com/disp/uk/pico/why-pico - however it does sail along submerged when you put three adults totalling 45 stone onboard.

Never tried one, but came very close to buying one of the lightweight Ribs as a tender last year. I really liked them and I thought the quality and specs were great.

Did'nt buy one in the end because the importers would'nt bring in the model I wanted. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I too looked for tenders that could be used to sail/have fun in. Spoke to one manufacturer (sorry, forgot name) doing boat that you could sail, row or add outboard but he said that he usually ends up selling to mobo owners because its hard to get anything with enough weight to be stable light enough to be of interest to the sailing community? - Would towing an average size rowing boat impede sailing performance much?
