Morning.

With the very kind help of Mil1194 of this parrish, (thank you again) i have uploaded my first attempt at website for the sale of our boat.

Its very rough around the edges at the moment but appreciate your suggestions on how i can improve over the coming days before pushing it out to the wider world?

please be gentle. im not an IT person!!

Cougar R9 Rib for sale

Nice site. Two things I'd change:

The font for the "48" in the price is different from the rest, and looks like you have amended the price, which implies you might be a bit on back foot. Better to use all same font, imho

The photos of the lockers show a bit of greebiness and rusty hinges. Would be good to clean up then re-shoot these pictures imho

Lovely boat. Pity i don't have a use for a machine like that because I'l love to buy it

Thanks All.

JFM, Agreed. For some reason its right on my Mac at home but will check that and ammend. also not happy with the picture on the home page. bottom inch of the picture is in "watermark" style.

Good thinking on the pics. Also the anchor one has the waterproof tape coming off. (i need to replace the tape on all lockers anyway)

Will add some wording on fuel consumption also. all good stuff!

Hoping to get a sunny day and get a picture of it at anchor from another boat low down at waterline level. always thought it looked really nice from that angle.

Agree with JFM about the price fonts - does look like the starting fig has been adjusted!

I would add "All enquiries to:" in front of the email address you show.

Otherwise, an excellent addvert, miles better better than many professional ones IMO - good job and good luck with the sale. She looks great fun.

I appreciate its what the boat does, but the main photo with the boat airborne might
1. show what it can do
2. suggest you thrash it to death.

At least it shows what the boat can do......if someone wants a 'lively' boat then they might appreciate seeing one 'in flight'!!

Sure, I just wonder if you would want a thrashed one ;)
Not saying it has been, but you know what buyers are like.....

That's interesting cos I thought that pic was a great advert for the boat, showing the hull form and indicating that it really is a fast boat. I most definitely wouldn't change it.

I'd make it clear what the fuel capacity and consumption is.

There's a slightly unfortunate juxtaposition in one picture with the boat in the background: "Miss Money Pitt". My thought was "If that's Miss Money Pit, I hope I don't find I've hit the money pit with this lovely rib."
