Just had a phone call somebody is coming to have a look at my old boat and we are going to have quick whizz up/down the river on sunday.
Goodness me v. interesting article in new MBY about 30-35 ft boats with rough guide to prices etc It is very helpful but the pricing in the article is miles out.
cheapest Sealine 305 I can find is £35.000 and cheapest Princess 30DS is £30,000.
I can only assume there is a little bargain priced marina snuggled around the back of the MBY portacabin.

I have to confess I was a little surprised too.

Maybe they are meant to represent sale prices achieved, not asked. Often rather different.

Went to boat yard in Beccles on sunday to look at Princess 33.Agreed price on my boat Ie down quite a bit.But it all went pear shaped when I suggest that the the price on the boat he wanted to sell to me could be open to some haggling.Tried to give me some B..........x about it being a rare boat. That fact that having visited most of the boatyards in the south east approx 15 others were for sale did not bother him at all.He suggested that if I purchased them all and moved all of em to his boatyard him could sell every one.Not even a hint of a bit of a haggle.Gave up and went home. Also looked at possibly the worst Moonraker I have ever seen, well past its sink by date.

I believe there is a Moonraker called "Rakish Lass" (flybridge/ enclosed w'hse) for sale on Thames. Can't remember which broker.

Was moored for many years on riverside garden around Staines. Never saw it move, tho' not really my regular patch. Had chintzy net curtains in window. Looked a bit like a gypsy caravan. Always immaculate outside. Might be worth a look if not already seen?
