Hia,

Came across this quote by arctic explorer Wally Herbert, about being asked the reasons for exploration and it seems relevent to some people thoughts about boat ownership,'those who need to ask,will never understand the answer,while others who feel the answer will never need to ask'.

I'd like to alter that a little..

'those who need to ask, will never understand the answer;
while those who can answer have already grown tired of it'.

HST* said something similar about riding bikes, but St. Thomas Aquinas seems to be credited with:
"To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible."

*Another HunterS one: "here is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others- the living- are those who pushed their luck as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later"
