So how long were you boatless in the end? So far I've never been in a situation of being entirely boatless in 17 years of boating. Don't know what I would do without a boat...

Absolutely +1 re. congratulations.
It's a shame that the first deal didn't materialize because, among all other reason, the boat location would have been good for joining some other forumites in CF this summer, and cruise back to Spain from there.
But in hindsight, your new Ferretti surely looks a better boat, more than capable to handle a crossing to Sardinia, maybe next year...?!
Regardless, all the very best for plenty of good time on her.

no. Utter Sht is a better way to describe it.

There is a window over the weekend. Its the sea state rather than the wind that bothers me. I think it will be a late friday PM departure, though whenever I think the window will be small enough that we are going to have to do it on the plane.

Once we get into spain the weather is ok. Its the GdL and that is leg one, so if we cant do that she stays in S Maxime.
