Boat name

Me again,

You see I bought this boat (25' sports cruiser) its my first and I want some suggestions for a name.

Its currently called "EDDIE", I think it ought to be something else.

Suggestions please, because i've had the family racking their brains for 3 mths now without success.

Hi the following suggestion will kill two birds with one stone, 1 name sorted, 2 low cost of changing it!
Just add “Dick” at the begging this way you can save money by not having to strip off the old name and possible repaint!

Make it something that is clear when said over the radio, or you'll spend all your time spelling it, especially when contacting the Coast Guard.
I was always told that name consisting of 3 syllables are a good idea.
Some of the funny names are ok for a while, but you might get bored with them, someone suggested Far Tarse, ok for a laugh, but would you really want to keep repeating this to the coast guard?
Do a search for boat names, there are lots of sites.

i think the best test of a boat name is could you use it on the vhf when speaking to officials etc.

met one boat with the following on its stern:

d2x/dt2

(the twos should be sub/superscripts) he explained that it meant 'acceleration', which i should have known. great for causing confusion!
