At last my boat is due to be registered this week!

So time for name ceremony and a sticker or r there any other options? Lite signs?

My budget is not huge but will take a look?

also where should i stick it? all over the back including the open door or shall i keep to the left and stay away from open door so name visible when door open?

Keep it in the forumite family ...................forumite "Csail" pm him - and discuss your ideas - top bloke.

No connection, just happy with service the two times I've used him.

We got ours from 'funkeymonkey' - very helpful and got a very bling shiny finish that looks the business (imho) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Iluminated signs will cost around about £5000. Works out at around £500 per letter. you can reduce this down to about £50 per letter if you go for s/s without back lighting. I have just orered a 9 letter name, letters 14" tall with underline and backlit in Neon ice blue and white £6,500 + VAT

Hope this gives you an Idea

IMHO, light signs are just too bling bling. I always think boat names look better in the centre of the transom and in your case it would have the added benefit of covering up that 'proudly made in australia' stuff. Maybe something in a navy blue script with silver outlining?

In terms of position, do you keep a tender on the bathing platform? No point having the name obscured by the tender, so that may dictate the position. Otherwise, I would say have the name in the centre, not too big and certainly not extending onto the transom door.

Personally i'd lose the "Proudly made in Australia" sign as well, it looks a bit like a promotional boat, but that's personal opinion of course, and you may love it. It certainly does highlight its individuality, as there's very few aussie boats in the UK.
