Boat Name Change ?

It might be worth checking if the previous owner had recorded the boat on a CG66 as the UK coast guard will want to know the change of details.(Its Free!!)
I really appreciate the superstitious comments on changing a boats name, I will take this to heart before doing the final deed :)

What are the legal implications and who do I contact ?

S'funny, I thought line fisherman always carried a priest? ;-}

Rob.
Lol, Don't you know your scripture? Book of Jonah 1:1-17, You can't have a priest onboard as he might be fleeing from God and God will send a storm! :)
Also at no time should point a finger at any boat especially your own, only ever use a full hand to show the way for fear of point the Devil to his quarry. Don't whistle, don't mention pigs, swines etc. Stay away from dead rabbits and never respond to a woman's question of, "Where are you going?" She might be a witch asking on behalf of the Devil :)

Most important of all when actually naming a boat, DO NOT fail to give the sea a drink. Either break a bottle or at the very least sray or pour a drink over the bow and into the sea.
Now this is a serious one! I was on P&O's Aurora for three years from new where the bottle never broke and I have never seen so much bad luck and strange occurences in my life! Where as the sister ship(which is actually Superstar Leo of Star cruises) never had any problems with exactly the same equipment and machinery?

But yeah, Sticky Letters are good.
