Boat Makes in Need of a Forum

There is now a new free forum service available that is specific to any make of sailing boat so that other owners of a particular boat may share ideas with other owners. The range of boat manufacturers covered is without limit and the facilties offered include chat services etc, etc.

We have started with just two makes for forums but can add more within minutes of being asked - we want to offer a forum for every make of boat so either email me or suggest a make on this thread and I will add it for you.

Whilst I host all these boat owners forums they are a free service and will remain that way. They are specific to a boat make so they are not competing with this forum.

If you already have a good functioning boat owners forum for your make of boat then fine, if you have not just email me or request it here and I will ensure that your make of boat is covered and email back a link.


Just two makes to kick it off. We can add dozens more within 24 hours. If the link connection does not work by clicking on it then cut and paste the whole link into a browser.

What you offering to set up is great, bowever Moody Owners already have a very good forum on their own website. HERE WHilst some parts are for members only, most of it is available to non-members too.

Other manufacturers have similar, Westerly for example.

Yes I realise that but lots do not and the facilities offered on this one exceed those available on the usual ones out there. For example you can advertise a scheduled meeting in the live chat and arrange to meet friends etc in your own chat room - I can even turn on th audio chat facility that would mean that you can actually talk togther. However, I do not expect anyone to desert ship and we are happy to create ones for any make on request as we did about ten minutes ago for the MacGregor.

If anyone logs in, joins and then subscribes to it they will receive emails of any messages posted so there is a simple way of keeping watch on it. We can also turn on the right to respond by email with the answer going into the thread.

The system lists all the makes down the left hand side and you simply click on the make to go to that forum. Its a sort of one stop boat makes forum system. There will also be much more of offer as time goes by, this is just the thin end of the wedge.
