Boat Jumble at Havant this Sunday

I go to most Boat Jumbles in and around the Solent, but haven't been to this one for several years as I've always found it a bit....... well.... C**p, in the past.

As it was a miserable morning weather wise, and Mrs Nasher and the two Teenage Nashers appeared happy to veg indoors I decided to give it another try.

What a disappointment, £1 to park, £3.50 to get in, a really high proportion of stalls selling new stuff, and very few stalls all together.
There was enough parking, but it wasn't helped by the traders vehicles taking up several spaces each in the car park, and the RNLI van parked really inconsiderately across two spaces when it could have fitted in one.

Of course being indoors also meant no Doughnut stall, which was the final insult to rub in the wasted entry fee.

Did anyone have a different experience?

Nasher.

You are spot on, I went in with £100 to spend and left 40 mins later, still with £100 IN MY POCKET, I found it C##P too. The car park has increased by 50p to £1 this year! But hey thats nothing to do with the boat jumble, It'll be Havant Borough Council!

Reasonably happy, two jamming cleats £1 each and one of those reefing horseshoe shaped things for our dinghy's kicker, £2. Mind you, add the parking and the entry fee and it doesn't look as good.

So the big question is...is there still a boat jumble on the South Coast with lots of second hand stuff? And no, I don't mean brass portholes and cleats 2ft long!

Doubt it...
