Boat Insurance

Hi all, my insurance is up for renewal, the boat is over 20 years old and only worth 6k and therefore requires survey. I dont want to pay for a survey but would like 3rd party only cover. is this possible thx

Yes this is possible, a friend of mine has third party only but I can't remember who is insured with. I would have thought that all would be willing to offer this.

For that age and value you can more than likely get comprehensive cover if you want. Let me know if you would like to know companies to get quotes from. What size/boat is it?

I insure my e boat, built 1979 fully comp, exc. racing for £170. I don't have to have a survey just a letter from boatyard saying that it appears to be fit for purpose i.e. it floats. I insure with KC Powell, polestar insurance.

Bishop Skinner do 3rd party only. £80 pa for my Vivacity, £100 pa for my Macwester 26.
