I stay with GJW because they dealt with two sizeable claims very fairly. I agree with Peter - cost isn't the only factor to consider.GJW They paid out without any quibbles following our 'accident'. That is the real measure of an insurance company.
Have been using MS Amlin for as long as I have been sailing (30 yrs). Previously traded under another name but cannot fault their service. Large claim a few yrs ago and their response was fine.Renewal due soon , any recommendations, previous insurer no longer in service , and offer up 20%. Admiral , craftinsure any opinions

GJW - and read the other competitors contracts if you want a proper Agreed Value contract!
Further to my last, I've never had a claim but the premiums keep going down year on year from GJW and, if they don't, any increase is negligible. However, the main reason that I stick with GJW is that whenever I call and ask a question, I get off the phone feeling much better about myself, world peace, Covid-19 and squirrels. They are always helpful, nothing is a problem and they always answer the phone!
Apart from that they're carp![]()
Glad to hear it as I'm with them. They were really good to deal with when setting up, only nervousness was hadn't (yet!) had to test itDeal is done I see but for anyone else considering I used A Plan for a number of years Car Insurance, Home Insurance and Much More | A-Plan and had to claim last year (due to theft and damage not captain's calamity) which as everyone says is the only way to test them and they dealt with with it sympathetically and efficiently. They also didn't charge for previous policy alterations (at that time) which is another factor to consider.
