Hi There,
Can anyone recommend or suggest an insurance company for a British registered motor boat which will be kept here in Greece permanently.

I'm looking into Greek companies but I wondered if anyone has any experience in this matter, would British companies offer such a service.

Thanks, Simon.

british companies do,its worth spending a bit of time on the net and get some quotes, greece no problem though. i ended up using euromarine, they did the best deal for me but i think it all depends upon year, make etc of boat as some are not intrested at all ,especially older boats, the only thing to double check is lightning cover.had a mate who was struck, then found out it was excluded,in his policy.

This is something that is worrying me.....she's over 30 years of age. Going through a major overhaul at the moment but I can just imagine this is going to cause an issue. Thanks for the lightning tip.
I'm being drawn to Greek companies as insurance is a few years behind here and they don't seem intent on getting out of paying if they can but I'm going to have a little problem with the small print.....I won't tell the wife just yet that she'll need to do some translating for me, I'll save that special treat until later /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We are insured by GJW
Excellent so far. Give them a call. They were one of the few that Didnt insist on 3 qualified people for Biscay crossing, many others did, we just called up and chatted, quoting experience etc, no worries. Great company.
