Boat information wanted??

Here's a cruisers 2570 with a single kad32. Been for sale all season

Well spotted! It rather puts things into perspective, that looks great and its all up ready to go. I'm guessing as it's been for sale all season a cheeky offer might get it. I'm thinking to get the one local to me up to spec could gobble up 10k quite easily, so it would have to be damn cheap to make it worthwhile.

Well I've taken the plunge! And bought a Falcon 23. I really wanted the extra space of the Excalibur 27 but being honest with myself I don't think I would have ever finished it - just too big a project for me to take on without having a yard do some of the interior work for me and I could see the cost sky rocketing.
On the plus side I think the Falcon ticks all the boxes and has enough space for us for days out and the occasional over night. The VP inboard has a huge folder full of receipts and had the timing belt and tensioners changed at the start of the season along with a full service and the leg had bellows and a service last autumn.
Hopefully SWMBO will be happier on it - hell it's even got a fridge for the wine!

Congratulations on getting your new boat - hope you have a great time on it.

Thanks! I really am a sailor at heart but at least this way we'll have a boat that all the family will enjoy, and in a funny kind of way I'm looking forward to it. Funny though, even though the boat is pretty well sorted I'm already writing up a shopping list of things to do/change on her!

You've definitely made the right decision, and a good choice. Better to enjoy the boat now rather than dream of what might be, and then, much later, be very disappointed (and much poorer!).

Have fun.

I think you're right. I could imagine it stealing a year of my life trying to get it ready.
The Falcon might be smaller but it has everything we wanted in a boat (well apart from the diesel inboard) and will hopefully be easy to sell in a year or two should we decide to step up to a larger model.
Thanks for all the advice and opinions
