Boat covers is acrylic ok

Looking to replace my boat covers and Britboat advertise acrylic covers for my Sealine S37.
Is acrylic the same type of thing as Sunbrella or a cheap alternative

I dont know the answer, but I do know that my S58 ones are original and after 14 years they are tired but by no means dead - so Sunbrella does last.

I have to say that I have changed to a fire retardant acrylic for my tonneau 2 years ago and it looks good as new.
The previous by vynil lasting less than 5 years was an expensive mistake.

Your absolutely right, just looked it up and it says
Sunbrella Fabric Specifications
Description: Woven fabric, made of 100-percent acrylic fibers. These are solution-dyed fibers with a fluorocarbon finish.
