Completely different area, sorry...
I went down to my boat yesterday and it's all dirty and streaky however it's moored at Windsor and directly under the Heathrow flight path!
It was sparkling clean a couple of weeks ago

we are bethed at fambridge marina in essex and also have noticed lots to black streaks and the boat looking very dirty.
we thought it might have had something to do with fireworks nights.

Problems reported in Lymington, owners are suspecting Falmouth refinery.
Usually have problems on the Thames from aviation fallout.
All the more reason to have the surfaces waxed and resistant.
