Better remind her she hasn’t put any closets on her list
I think the consultation period is over and it's now my job to propose some appropriate candidates

I hope she has given you sufficient budgetI think the consultation period is over and it's now my job to propose some appropriate candidates
Standard boat buying budget I'm afraid, too small for what I really want. (without each of us selling a kidney )I hope she has given you sufficient budget
Or a catamaran sailor. Your spec screams catamaran at the top of it’s voice. The small matter of budget might get in the way of that, assuming you’d want one that actually sailed, of courseOMG .... you're right .... she could be a closet motor boater.
First Mate loves cats, unfortunately this kind ....Or a catamaran sailor. Your spec screams catamaran at the top of it’s voice. The small matter of budget might get in the way of that, assuming you’d want one that actually sailed, of course
Fortunately for you there are afew Oligark Superyachts on the market at the moment!Sold the last boat and can sympathise with @Wansworth as buying the replacement is taking a lot longer than I had hoped.
Obviously discussed at length with the First Mate and she insisted on contributing the following requirements ... most of which are non-negotiable.
..... so not that demanding.
- Master cabin with good view outside.
- Clean contemporary interior - must be bright, spacious and airy with plenty of light - veto on dark wooden interiors.
- Galley separate from living area.
- No top opening fridge - Fridge must have front opening.
- Freezer - allowed to be top opening.
- Separate shower cubicle in heads.
- Space for sunbathing on foredeck.
- Big shaded cockpit for sundowners, entertaining and lounging.
- Swim platform or sugar scoop with swim ladder and shower.
- Enough battery power to run her hairdryer every morning.
- Washing machine.
- Absolute veto on any damp/mould/leaks/grubby surfaces or bad smells - similar veto on project boats, boat must be as new as possible.
- Must buy proper mattresses as first priority after purchase.
- Good anchor setup where the chain doesn't pile up under the windlass.
- Space for her windsurfer and SUP.

I know someone who's selling a Catalac 8m. It's only got a single OB, but for Wandering round the Rias, it'd be fine.Or a catamaran sailor. Your spec screams catamaran at the top of it’s voice. Looks like a solid example of the marque, and the plus point is neither of us would need to sell a kidney ....I know someone who's selling a Catalac 8m. It's only got a single OB, but for Wandering round the Rias, it'd be fine.

Wasn’t part of the publicity skimpy girls on each hull or was it domestic bliss in the galleyLooks like a solid example of the marque, and the plus point is neither of us would need to sell a kidney ....
That was the style of James Wharram's advertising - I don't think that Tom Lack ever had to resort to such tactics for his Catalacs.

It would do you rather nicely, I think Mr and Mrs Baggy might want something more exciting under sail. A FP Maldives 32, for instance. It has decent performance, plus all the other tick boxes. And still no kidneys need be sold. The sole drawback is that standing headroom in the bridgedeck is achieved with a pop top.

I recognise those brochure pictures I bought mine new in 2013 and continue to love it, ideal for my sailing aspirations. She is berthed on The Clyde.Looks like a gorgeous boat, it would unfortunately get vetoed for the size of the cockpit and the clambering required to get from cockpit to swim platform. ... there is also the small problem of it being over budget.
This is more the sort of thing she has in mind ...
