Boat choice, older or newer

I owned a 2007 Sealine for 9 years and I’ve owned a 2009 Prestige for 5 years. I’d say the build quality is broadly similar but the Prestige has a better hull but to be fair, it is a newer design compared to the Sealine. I love(d) them both equally though.

Fair enough. I do recall posts about Jeanneau using balsa core in their hulls which can give rise to issues. I may be wrong but I don’t believe Sealine would have used balsa and would have stuck to glass.

From what I can tell online, for the equivalent age and similar engines, the Sealine f37 is heavier than the prestige 36 which may be an indication of a better built boat.

We go out on an Antares 10.80, nice boat, twin KADs, a dry ride, well built, quite a social layout but you mention later about a ladder to the fly so may now be discounted from your list.

There is a 10.80 about an hour or so for sale, will be going to look, but had a look at a sealine 360 yesterday and thats the benchmark at the moment

Well, seems the decision was newer, just had an offer accepted subject to survey, for a Prestige 32 Fly

Looking forward to a few trips out this year, but mainly to get used to twin shaft and updating some areas.
