Anyone got experience of using the haslar marina boat brokers?
I'm trying to sell my boat with another broker but that contract is due for renewal soon. The attractive thing about haslar marina is that if I sell the boat i dont have to pay the remainder of the berthing fees, but if they take months and months to sell that means I've lost a lot.

Realistically most folk buy after looking at aggregator sites these days. The folk at Haslar are pretty competent at standing there while people look at a boat, but if it’s not selling it’s likely either too expensive or not presented well.
Clean the bilges, fix the leaks, take all the stuff off and reduce the price if you want to sell, it’s unlikely a broker problem.

A friend was in a similar situation at sister marina Deacons, another Boatfolk place. He chose to make the sale via Boatpoint, their brokers, and was pleased with the result and saved money due to the escape from berthing fees as you have seen.

It might also depend on type of boat being sold - as a Haslar boat owner I chose Clipper as opposed to on site broker to eventually sell our Bavaria -I’m sure the local broker could have do it but using a brands agent sometimes gives an edge . Clearly it also depends on if the OP is retiring from boating or upgrading etc fees berth fees paid in advance and timescales for sales plus the basis of current fees model with Haslar. It sounds like the vessel has been for sale for a while so I guess a second view on price/photos and appearance from boatfolk brokers might help anyway
