Just reading the post below re. hose reminds me that I meant to ask the knowledgeable if there is anything I need to do to my new Jabsco unit to keep it sweet during the winter lay-up and ensure it will work again next Spring, apart from the obvious ie pumping lots of water through and draining completely which I've already done??

Safe sailing

yes.
the littler lever has to be left in the correct position /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

or Buy a Lavac /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Possibly the best Marine bog ever ( IMHO of course ) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I thought it was common knowledge that everything removeable fom the boat is to be taken home and lovingly cared for in the kitchen, loft or garage.

Failing that follow Jabsco's instructions.

Lots of people pop down regularly to run up the engine, particularly after frost. Strange that the loo isn't warmed up too . . .

Peggie Hall usually suggests an occasional dose of cooking oil to keep the pump etc lubricated. I think for the winter You put a spoonfull through and flush.

She is going to have a field day when she picks up on these two threads on bogs
