Perhaps not one for PBO, but I "practically" crapped myself as it launched itself into the tender, SWMBO proceeded to have a lengthy discussion with it, they do make a varied number of weird sounds (seals that is not SWMBOs).

Some years ago a young seal hauled itself out on the launching ramp at Town Quay in Southampton. It seemed fairly happy to stay and the RSPCA (I think) were called in, the handler had a very thick pair of leather gloves which looked to be exceedingly necessary. Also seen a fox come ashore up that ramp, probably from Hythe - dont know if the ferry bars foxes ??

I saw one board a rib on a mooring at Bardsey a few years back. It stayed there for 3 days solid before departing. Apparently they can go quite a long time without food. Not sure how long without a crap tho, that dinghy must have REALLY stunk by the time it left.
