Boat Ads

Why do boat advertisers still pose (or photoshop) female eye candy in their ads ? The car trade gave this up years ago. I`m quite amazed how the bikini clad crumpet manages to lay elegantly on the deck at what seems to be 35kts in a choppy sea. Have any forumites seen the advert for London waterside properties (I think) that has a 60+ft Sunseeker/Princess with a silly woman in full evening dress standing on the side deck with nice stiletto heel shoes - not on my bloody boat love!!!!

To keep them elegant you use flesh colour cable ties.....

Agree with you. Boat ads are stuck in the 60/70's and some make you cringe like the one Essex Boatyards is running for their Arvors at the moment with an attractive looking mermaid sitting on one of their boats and the caption "Worth getting your tackle out for?" Yuk
