We are looking to fit a boarding ladder to the transom of the Grumpy Uncle. She is a Colvic 22 and the stern of the boat is very deep.....by that I mean there is a box section the full width of the stern that covers the steering assembly and fuel tank below that, so the ladder bend will not fit over it as it would on a thinner transom or over the gunwhales. Its only a plastic covered alloy type with the plastic steps and a set of stays half way down.......I am sure you know the type.
Would it be ok to fit a pair of skin fittings to take the two ends of the top of the ladder so that it sits in them when we use it?.....or is there an alternative bit of kit that you use?
Many thanks guys........
