Hi all,
I've got a serious oil leak at the back of the engine, it seems like its going to be the rear end seal. I'm aware that some engines had a thrower rather than a seal, my boat is a 79 and I'm hoping she will have a lip seal. Which is more common?
Has anyone changed the lip seal with the engine in situe? I'm hoping to screw some self tappers in and pull it out Then tap the replacement in? What ya reckon?
