BM1 starter battery voltage for AGM

Hi. This is hopefully just a quick question! AFAIA, the Nasa BM1 battery monitor only works with lead acid batteries. However the additional connection to monitor the starter battery only provides voltage. Would it be able to read the voltage of an AGM battery - say a Red Flash, for example? TIA!
