Can anyone point me in the direction of any yachts (or ketches) which specifically have a centre-island double berth in an aft cabin arrangement preferably with stern portholes which would deliberately preclude a sugar spoon swim platform. Enclosed centre cockpit would also be nice.

I am very interested in anything larger than 38 foot (11.5 metres) up to 50 foot (15 metres). Enclosed wheelhouse would be nice?

Lifting, bilge fin or any type of keel. :)

Moody 376... has two rear portlights... but the double aft is offset....

ooh,, how bout a Trintella 44 or 45.... but again I think the aft bed was offset.

Pearson 422

Beneteau 40 cc I think that there is a 42 or 43 cc version as well that comes with a centre line queen.

There is a Morgan Catalina 38 with a magnificent aft cabin with c/l bed great sugar scoop transom arrangment for swimming but I do not think the words blue water belong in the same paragraph. Pity as the swmbo loved it.

There is the odd Morgan 461 which has been converted to C/L king however you loose the bath. [ Yes bath I kid you not! ]

Amel 54 ( OK, slightly bigger than your top limit) Certainly blue water, partial deck house. Centre double, I went to a launch recently and the standard of fit is incredable. Price to match though.....

Bavaria 390 Lagoon, 12.15m.
Huge aft cabin, four opening port lights into cockpit, two of them full sized hatches. Yes it has a step down to a swim platform but the large locker in the step which drains over the side is ideal for petrol and gas spares, and also loading stores from a dinghy.

Yachts OR ketches? Do you mean sloops or ketches? Both, if used exclusively for pleasure, are yachts.

which specifically have a centre-island double berth in an aft cockpit...

38 foot (11.5 metres) up to 50 foot (15 metres).
Is there a typo here or is everyone ignoring the question?

The requirement is impossible to achieve under 50ft without horrible results because the cockpit would be perched too high over the cabin.

I'll follow this thread with interest as SWMBO & I will be looking for something very similar in not too many years time and so far, we've not identified many contenders! Unlike the OP however, we aren't specifying that the double berth should be an aft cabin, so a fwd centreline double would be quite acceptable providing there is another twin/double somewhere for guests and good seaberths. Given that the requirement for transom ports means aft cabin in this case (assuming the ports are to be into the cabin!) then I'm scratching my head.

Have just been clearing out some old editions of YM... found a review of the Nordship 40 DS which ticks all the boxes of the OP including the aft cockpit.

However the magazine photos illustrate the inevitable design compromises. The "aft" cockpit looks very high and is infact two cockpits separated by a large raised plinth which supports the main traveler, this raised section of the cockpit provides a standing area in the aft cabin. There is a shallow well for the helmsman and below it looks like sitting headroom on the island bunk would be marginal.
