My partner and i sail a blue hulled 2006 Oceanis 473 in the Ionian. It's so hot in the summer you wouldn't tell the difference between blue & white hull. We get round it by sleeping under boom covers.
With the bow thruster the boat is easy to handle in port and sails well. We handle it with just the 2 of us no problem.
We polish it every season and have no sign of any fading. We rode the quay during a storm and when we had the repair done and it was commented on how thick the gel coat was. He suggested if it ever faded there was so much we could sand it back, reseal it and polish it back as new.
