All I can say is that yesterday for £7.50p I had their breakfast and a large mug of strong tea .
2 eggs 2 bacon 2 sausage 2 tomatoes (proper not tinned) half a tin of beans fried potatoes and toast .
Errrr value for money or what I did not need to eat again that day and I can eat.

Now I know why I emigrated oop North.

That price is outrageous, but if that is what you are prepared to pay down there, then you are welcome to it.

I wondered how I was able to afford all my toys and houses. ;)

I have noticed a massive change this last year with southern prices, there are places that are offering good value and they are very busy.

Weatherspoons, port solent offer a full evening meal along with a pint for less than that !

Even Gunwharf Quay you can overlook the spiniker and get a 5 course chinese meal have it cooked fresh in front of you (as much as you can eat) for less than that !

You did very well Tim.

When we ate there we had a couple of breakfasts and were told we would have to pay for sauces on top of our breakfasts. Emily (9) had a slice of toast. Total cost just over £17 with 2 coffees.

When she went up for a second slice of toast they asked Em's for £1.10 for an item that was clearly on the printed menu at £0.90. We'd sent Em's up with a pound coin so she had to come back and ask for another 10p at which point I went up myself to query the situation assuming an error had been made.

I was told by the owner (I presume) in no uncertain terms it would be £1.10 because she needed to put it on a plate which was extra. I also questioned charging extra for the sauce and was told it was because she's washed gallons of the stuff down the sink when it was free.

I know how we were treated and will not return. They weren't rushed off their feet in fact I'd say quite overstaffed at the time for the amount of custom at that time of the day. We were in Hamble again for a couple of nights a few weeks ago and felt no urge to give them our business. I'd say avoid like the plague and walk the few steps up towards the village for an all together more pleasant experience.

Oh and the toilets were out of order as well :)

Next time you are feeling like a fry-up and have got transport, head up to the big Tesco at the roudabout where the A27/M27 junctions are, they do a full ebglish for £4 which having sampled it on Saturday morning, can vouch for. Not exactly Gordon Ramsey but did the job!
