Are there no Lancs or Yorks Nationalists yet? I think a red or white rose would look pretty in the corner of a blue or red rag.

Some members of the Royal Ulster Yacht Club have taken to flying a red ensign with the tricolour in place of the union flag. It looks smart and causes equal offence to old farts on both side of the border.
It's only a flag, a bit of cloth, for heavens sake! Why would anyone care or even be proud of a red or blue one?
It's bad enough seeing the yanks get their knickers in a twist when some eastern gentlemen burn a stars and stripes, lets not get wound up by such trivial irrelevencies.

Some people do fail to grow out of the adolescent mind set. That is true. I know a couple of people in their early forties like that. They tend to be childish in other ways as well and, since they get their kicks from offending other people of any age, very tedious company. There was a big study of this kind of aggression (because that's what it is) recently. Almost universal amongst adolescent males, but most get over it in the end.
Younger children are wiser, of course. Not growing up doesn't mean hanging on to the least attractive characteristics of the adolescent.

Some folk have red ones, some folk have blue ones. There are some blue ones with embroidery on them. There are even red ones with some embroidery. Folk to the north of a Roman wall are doing there own thing and some lads on a green isle to the West are just taking the mick.
So in conclusion its okay to have a different coloured ensign.
