My battery charger died with quite a spectacular white flash and bang!

Thinking of a Sterling ProDigital 1240CD as its replacement. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with one of these? Any other suggestions before I part with £300?

Currently have three batteries, one for each engine and one domestic, all of them are sealed 113AH and are of the type that's supposed to be good for starting and domestic. There are a couple of switches. One that allow one of the engine batteries to parallel to the domestic battery and the other to parallel the engine batteries. I may in the future add another identical battery to the domestics so want to cater for that possibility as well.

Cheers

Mark

Yup, mines the the 1230CED charging the starboard starter battery 135AH and the port starter/domestics 2x 110AH. Excellent piece of kit, thoroughly recommended.

Same here,
We have the 1240cd & leave it to do it's job without problem.
We dont however have the remote monitor & would be interested to here if they are worthwhile addition.

Hi,you could also try MASTER VOLT chargers, extremely good product@ reasonable prices, not cheap but well worth it,mm1.
