I have a couple of hoses that lead from scuppers through a locker and then exit about 2 feet above the waterline. On visiting the boat today I found standing water suggesting the hoses are blocked.

This is most likely to be organic matter - leaves etc I suspect.

What is likely to be the easiest wY to unblock.

The boat is ashore and the bottom of the hoses are buried a bit but basically accessible.

I was thinking of using something like a chemical plug unblocker - a la Mr Muscle.

Is this a bad idea - anyone got any better suggestions? (And not keen on spending a day fixing this issue!)

I had exactly the same problem last year and pressure water hose from underneath worked a treat...

+1 In fact I thought I'd already said that ... Dunno where that post went! Must have been pulled :)

It probably went with my 'Firearms aboard' post..I was notified..'post to be examined by the Mods'. Both posts probably fell off the examination table and got swept up and thrown in the bin...:D :D
