Managed to get some blisters at the weekend running a barbecue
couple are mild burns and some from having to fan it like crazy as we were 20 mins late getting it 2nd one lit to feed a hundred people
they have yet to burst but are likely to get aggravated by sheet halyard pulling.

am going sailing next week for a while with a fellow forumite(s)
can i claim that pulling ropes will cause long term damage to my hands and insist i be issued white cotton gloves and atrixo
or should i start soaking them in meths now?

got the fingerless henry lloyd gloves with leather pams and stretchy backs as they are better for not having to be taken off the deal with fiddly bits
but the blisters may be exposed
might try those plasters but keeping them on wet hands will be an issue
and eachtime the gloves come off they will bring them off.

should i prick them now?

Don't prick them!!
Put Compeed on. They may be called plasters, but they are hig-tech and they won't come off unless you really mean them to. Most chemists stock them. They suck the puss out of the blisters and start the healing process. Amazing things. (Compeed, not the chemist, you understand)
