what a fantastic weekend so much for the poor weather forecast, nipped over to Weymouth Saturday in mostly sunshine had a sprinkling of rain at 5pm.Then made for Poole Sunday and cut across St Albans Head with following wind and tide, should have gone 5 miles out as advised, never mind a bit hairy but all down to experience. spent the afternoon at studlands and briefly meet Duncan & Col.Spent night in Poole met Moose ,hagrid,Northern Wave. Nich to meet you guys shame we didnt spend more time together maybe next time.spent monday at Studlands, it was very warm and sunny we all got very burnt.

We all had a cracking time and the weather treated us well, a hell of a change from friday when we had sea weed on the fly bridge, the waves flattened our VHF aerial and a wave broke over our rib!!!!

I came wandering round Studland Monday but failed to find you I am afraid - it was a bit busy!!!
We hoofed it to Swanage for a slight change in scene eventually, meeting up with Geoffs, Happy and others - another cracking day all told.
Even the drive home wasn't too bad - felt like I was away a week; what a weekend.
Just what is it going to be like when we get some really good weather and conditions? I am starting to have this nightmare of leaving the Banks Arms late one afternoon and Col saying "Dolphin Haven's full but I have got us berths in Cherbourg, lets go....." and of course it will seem like a good idea at the time.........../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Not studland but we did overnight in swanage bay once. Wish we had done studland as there was a bit of a swell hitting the boat side on.

No problem at all - lovely place to overnight. Tuck in tight to the SW corner and you're fine. Holding is excellent, but it can get a bit rolly in anything with E in it.
